Adventure Deck
Adventure Decks in Standard, War of the Ring and Hunters Block games
Each player builds a deck with an Adventure Deck of nine site cards. When assembling your Adventure Deck you may use any sites as long as you have no more than 3 Sites with the same Shadow Number (so you could not have 4 sites with Shadow numbers of 3 in the same Adventure Deck) and you cannot have duplicate sites.
When the fellowship moves and travels to a site not yet on the path, a new site must be selected. To determine which player places the next site, look at the arrow on the last site in the path and the person sitting in the corresponding direction (a player one place below you is sitting to your virtual left) must play the next site. When it's time for you to play a site, the remaining cards in your Adventure Deck will appear in a pop-up window. You may select any valid site to play (in most cases you can play any site you wish).
You may not mix sites from different blocks in your deck. All of the sites in your Adventure Deck must be from the War of the Ring or Hunters blocks.
Adventure Decks in Fellowship, Tower or King Block games
Each player starts the game with an adventure deck of nine site cards, one for each of the nine site numbers. Your adventure deck is played face down in a pile on the table during play. No other player may look through your adventure deck during the game. When the fellowship moves during a game, if it moves to a site with a site number not yet represented on the adventure path then a new site must be played. To determine which player places the next site, the Free Peoples player should look at the arrow near the bottom of the site. The player that is sitting in the direction of the arrow from the Free Peoples player whose turn it is plays the next site in the adventure path.
You may not mix sites from different blocks in the same adventure deck. The sites in your adventure deck must be either from The Fellowship of the Ring block (sets 1, 2, and 3), from the The Two Towers block (sets 4, 5, and 6), or from The Return of the King block (sets 7, 8, and 9). Since cards from all the adventure decks combine to form a shared adventure path, all players in the same game must have sites from the same block.
