Card Blocks

The available cards for The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game are released one set at a time. A set is a single release of cards, such as the 128-card Helm's Deep expansion set, or the 365-card The Two Towers base set. A block is a wider release of three sets - The Fellowship of the Ring, Mines of Moria, and Realms of the Elf-Lords sets all combine to make the Fellowship block, while The Two Towers, Helms Deep, and Ents of Fangorn sets combine to make The Two Towers block, and The Return of the King, Siege of Gondor, and Mount Doom sets combine to make The Return of the King block. The curreng block - War Of The Rings is composed of the Shadows, Black Rider and Bloodlines sets. Different play formats allow for cards from different blocks to be used.
