Create Game

Any player can create a game by clicking on the "Create Game" button at the top of the games window in most lobbies.

This will bring up a dialog box with a number of options that allow you to customize the sort of game you wish to play. These options are:

• Game Title
  Each game has a title, allowing it to be easily referenced by others. By default, this title is derived from the user name of the player that created the game, but it can be set to anything else if desired.
• Game Type
  The game type can be Constructed, which means that you play with a deck of your own choosing; Sealed, in which players are presented with a starter deck and a number (usually three) of booster packs, and have a time period in which to make a deck from only these cards prior to play; and Booster Draft, in which players are presented with a draft pack and a number (usually three) of booster packs, and have a time period in which to make a deck from only these cards prior to play.
• Number of Players
  This option allows you to set the number of players the game must have before it is considered full. Once full, no more players may enter this game, except as observers. The default number of players is two.
• Play Format
  Play format dictates which cards may be used in this game. See Play Formats for a list of the formats and the cards allowed in each.
• Match Structure
  While most matches involve only a single game, some require a player to win the best of three games. This setting allows you to choose between the two options.
• Deck Selection
  This setting allows you to choose which deck you would like to use for this game.
• Comments
  This setting allows you to write a short comment which will be seen by other players when the game appears in the lobby.
• Time Limit
  This setting allows you to specify a time limit for the game. The default is to have no time limit.
• Buddy List Only
  This setting allows you to restrict other participants in the game to those players on your Buddy List.
• Password
  This setting allows you to place a password on the game, which other players must give in order to join it. The default is to have no password.
• Allow Observers
  This setting allows you to restrict whether other players may observe the game. The default is to allow other players to observe.

Selecting "Create Game" will then start the game, allowing others to join, and take you to a private game lobby.
