Guilds
Guilds are player-made groups that any player may create or join.
You can access the Guild Hall by click on the 'Guild Hall' icon located in the upper left corner of the Main Lobby. This will take you to a lobby where the various Guilds are listed.
The Guild Hall displays all of the existing Guilds with the following information...
- Rank: This is the Guild's Ranking versus other active Guilds. A Guild's Ranking is determined by combining the overall ratings of all Guild Members.
- Name: The Guild's name is listed in this field
- Cur #: This is the current number of players in the Guild. Currently, each Guild can have up to 32 players.
- Members: All players in a particular Guild are listed in this field (the players' names appear here regardless of whether they are online or not). The name of the Guild Founder is in Red. This is the effective 'boss' of the Guild as the Founder may invite and kick members into/out of the Guild.
To create a guild, simply click the 'Create Guild' button at the top of the screen. This will bring up a dialogue box where you can enter the guild's name. Name your Guild appropriately (keep in mind the code of conduct) and when done, click OK to create the guild and your new guild is born!
You cannot create a Guild if you are already in a Guild.
If you are the Founder of your Guild (you can always spot the founder of a Guild by looking at the Members information and looking for the player named in red) you may invite players into your Guild (though you cannot invite players already in a Guild). You can invite players in one of two ways...
- You may right-click on the user's name (as it appears in the list at the lower right hand side of the screen) and select 'Invite to Guild' from the drop-down menu. This will send a pop-up message inviting them into your Guild.
- Type: /inviteguild (type player's name here) This will send a pop-up to that player inviting them to join your Guild (Remember, you can type "/help" for a list of other 'slash commands' usable in the lobbies).
Should you wish to leave a Guild, you can right-click on your Guild's name in the Guild Hall listing and select 'Leave' from the drop-down menu. If you are the Guild Founder, another player will become the Guild Founder and (should you wish to rejoin the guild) you will need to contact that person to be invited back in to the guild.
You can also leave a guild by typing '/leaveguild' in the lobby.
Should the need arise, you can eject players from your guild by typing: /kickguild (type player's name here)
One feature of being in a Guild is the ability to establish Guild-Only games in the Casual Games Lobby and in the Trade Lobby. When you create a game in either of these lobbies you will see (if you are in a guild) the option to make your game Guild-Only. A Guild-Only game can only be joined or observed by players in your guild.
More Guild Features will be coming soon!
