League Deck Builder
Each League has its own individual League Deck Builder, reached by clicking on the Deck Builder Tab while in that League's League Room. This is a variant of the normal Deck Builder that allows you to modify any League Cards you might have. Also, if you're playing in a Sealed League, this is where you can build cards from your limited card pool.
It is important to note that each individual League has it's own individual Deck Builder. If you are playing in Sealed Deck League A and Sealed Deck League B, you need to access the League Deck Builder from the League A League Room to build decks for use in League A and the League B League Room to build decks with cards from your League B card pool. On a similar note, if you modified a League Card in League X, those changes would not carry over to another League if that same League Card were used in League Y.
League Deck Builder in Sealed Play
In a Sealed Deck League you must use the League Deck Builder to make a valid deck for your first game. In a Sealed Deck League you may ONLY use cards that come from your starting card pool (in the initial Leagues, this consists of the Starter you brought plus a Draft Pack that is automatically opened and added to your account when the League starts) or those opened with the 'Add Booster' option (see Leagues and League Rooms for info on Adding Boosters). These cards are part of you collection as a whole (as in, anything that gets used in a Sealed League is yours for use outside of the League though it's important to note that while the Sealed League is running, you can't trade away any cards being used in that Sealed League) but for games in Sealed League play, you are considered to have ownership of the cards you see in the League Deck Builder and nothing else.
If you are playing in multiple Sealed Deck Leagues at the same time, be sure to remember which deck files go with which League since each Sealed Deck League will have its own card pool.
Customizing League Cards in the League Deck Builder
See the section on League Cards for more information on these customizable companions and minions!
- Step 1: Acquire some League Character Points. Dive in, play some games, get to know the other players in your league and, in the process, get yourself some LCPs!
- Step 2: Go into the League Deck Builder. Make sure you are in the right League Room when you do this -- each League has its own individual Room and Deck Builder so if you're in multiple Leagues, take note!
- Step 3: Search for your League Cards and find the one you'd like to modify. With no filters selected your League Cards should be near the top of your collection in 'set 0' with promos, Tengwar cards and other cards listed above Fellowship Block cards. You can also find them by searching by Rarity/Foil and selecting 'D' rarity.
- Step 4: Right-click on your League Card and select "Add League Abilities" from the drop down menu.
- Step 5: Upgrade! A window will appear showing how many Points (League Character Points) you have available and under that, a list of Game Texts and their associated costs. On the left you will see the image of your League Card as it already is (i.e. with previously purchased League Abilities). You can Add League Abilities just by highlighting them and selecting 'Add.' If you'd rather not add a certain League Ability, highlight it in the lower window and select 'Remove.' When you have the League Abilities as you like them, select 'Accept Changes.' Important: Once you select 'Accept Changes' the League Abilities are locked in and cannot be removed or refunded. If you do NOT want to add League Abilities, select 'Cancel.'
The Return Button
Above your collection in the Leage Deck Builder, you'll see a button marked 'Return.' Pressing this button puts you back in the League Room.
Points Spent
In your League Deck Builder you will see a 'Points Spent' button next to the 'Return' button above your collection. Pressing this button will display a window showing how many League Character Points you've spent and a card-by-card breakdown of what abilities were bought with those points.
