League Rooms
Each League has its own individual League Room where challenges are made, banter is exchanged and the League Deck Builder is accessed. You can reach your League's Room by going to the League Lobby and selecting one of your leagues (the leagues in which you are playing appear in the bottom pane).
Finding Opponents and Starting Matches
League games are played at your own pace. When you arrive at the League Room you will see other players present in the lower-right portion of your screen. The middle-top will show any games presently running. The bottom part of the screen is a chat window where you can talk to other players.
When you've found an opponent, you can challenge them by right-clicking on their name in the lower-right area of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear and you can select 'Challenge' to initiate a game. This will open a window where you can select your deck and either 'accept' or 'decline' the challenge (there is no penalty for declining a challenge, even if you initiated it).
Accessing your League Deck Builder
Once you are in a League Room, pressing the Deck Builder Tab on the right-hand side of the screen does not take you to the normal Deck Builder but instead brings you to the League Deck Builder. This behaves very much like your regular deck builder only with two very important differences...
- If you are playing a Sealed League, this is where you will need to go to build your decks from your limited card pool.
- If you are playing a Constructed League, this is where you can modify your League Cards with special abilities.
- Check out the page on the League Deck Builder for more info.
Other Options in The League Room
There are three important buttons to know about in the League Rooms
- Get League Info
Press this button to get information on your League's setup and rankings. You'll get a pop-up window telling you the name of the league, the format, game time limits, etc. You'll also see a listing of players in this league (all of them, not just those present) along with their Points, their tiebreaker points and, which Race to Mount Doom site each player is at (if your League is using those optional rules). This information will not inform you of how many League Character Points (see League Cards for more details) a player has earned, spent or has remaining.
- Get Site Info (Only on Leagues using Race to Mount Doom Rules)
Press this button to get information on the Race to Mount Doom game texts and player positions in your league. This opens a pop-up of the nine sites with their game texts visible. Use the scroll bars to view all the sites. Right-clicking on any of the sites brings up the option to see who is presently at that site. It is highly recommended that you look ahead... if you have a single deck that you use for all of your League games then you may need to switch it up (or go with a whole new deck!) at certain sites. Also, some sites can be used to your advantage with the right cards and may you may wish to look ahead to establish a 'wish list' of cards to get for an upcoming site. See Race to Mount Doom for more info.
- Add Booster (Sealed Leagues Only)
Many Sealed Leagues will be set up to allow you to add Booster packs as the weeks go by. This ensures some added variety to your card pool so you can switch things up as the weeks go by. Pressing that will bring up a dialogue allowing you to purchase a Booster (with Event Passes) and doing so will immediately open a Booster and those cards will be added to your pool of cards available for that League (and the cards get added to your general collection as well, in case you were wondering). You can usually only do this once per week (depending on the League). If a Sealed League offers adding Boosters as weeks progress, joining late does NOT prohibit you from taking advantage of this -- if a Sealed League allowed an additional Booster to be added on Weeks 2 and 4 and you joined on Week 4, you could add two Boosters immediately upon joining.
