Sets and Blocks

Cards in The Lord of the Rings Online TCG are released in sets and blocks. Sets are released three times a year, with one large set in November, and two smaller expansion sets in March and July. The three sets in each year combine to make a block, with the block taking the name of the large set that started it off. Thus, the three sets making up Tower Block are The Two Towers, The Battle of Helm's Deep, and The Ents of Fangorn.

Each set is also identified by its number, starting from 1 for the first released set, The Fellowship of the Ring, and with promo cards coming from Set 0. Each card has the set number in its Collector Information. The card 1R50, Legolas, Greenleaf, is thus identified as coming from set 1, being rare, and being card number 50 from that Set.

The present Block (the one used as the basis for Standard play format) is in bold.
