Tournament Lobby

The Sanctioned Tournament Lobby is where you join both constructed and draft tournaments. This lobby is only available in table mode.

Players can join a tournament by double-clicking on any of the tournament queues, at the top of the table. Queues can be identified by the "Waiting" in their Status column. All other entries in the list are tournaments currently being played. Information about each tournament being played is available in the column entries for that tournament, or by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking for Macintosh users) on the tournament, and selecting "Get Info." Further information on each column can be found below.

When you enter a tournament you will be asked to choose a deck to play with. That deck must be valid for the tournament format chosen, and you must own all cards in it.

Constructed tournaments cost five Event Passes to enter, and offer as prizes five booster packs to the winner, four to second place, three to third place, two to fourth place, and one to all other players. The type of booster packs provided as prizes is listed in the "Prize Pool" column. Event Passes are available at the online store. The same window in which you choose your deck will list the number of Event Passes required to enter this tournament, and the number that you currently have.

Column Headings

  • ID#
This is the ID number of the tournament. Only the tournament queues themselves and active tournaments are displayed. Tournement queues are numbered 1 and 2.

  • Title
This column shows the format of games played in this tournament. For example, if "Constructed Standard (1 vs 1)" is shown in this field, all games in this tournament are single-player games using a deck you have constructed, in the Standard format.

  • Status
This column shows the current status of this tournament. All tournament queues are shown as "Waiting" while currently running tournaments show the round currently being played.

  • Cur #
This column shows the number of people currently in the queue or tournament. Currently active tournaments may have less than eight participants if one or more players have dropped from the tournament.

  • Max #
This column shows the maximum number of players in this tournament. For all single-player queue tournaments this is eight players.

  • Time
This column shows the amount of time allowed for each round.

  • K
This column shows the K-value of this tournament. The K-value is used to calculate the ratings effect of this tournament. The higher the K-value, the more this tournament can affect your rating.

  • Prize Pool
This column shows the type of prizes awarded for this tournament.

  • Prize Structure
This column shows the amount of prizes awarded for this tournament. For example, if this column shows 5-4-3-2-1-1-1-1, this means that the winner receives five booster packs, of the sort listed in the Prize Pool column, second place receives 4 packs, third receives three packs, fourth receives two packs, and all other players receive one pack.

  • Structure
This column shows the tournament structure. All queue tournaments are Swiss, which means that each player plays each round, with the players with the most points being paired together in order unless they've played before, and the winner is determined by the person with the most points at the end of all rounds.

  • Participants
This column lists the participants in the tournament, who they are currently playing if they are playing a game, and the number of points they have won in this tournament.
