Transfer

A possession or artifact that is already in play may be transferred from one Free Peoples character to another character during the fellowship phase, by paying the twilight cost for that artifact or possession again. This may be done provided that both characters are at the same site (an ally is considered to be at the same site as a companion only when the fellowship is at that ally's home site or when that ally is participating in archery and skirmishes through any card's game text), and that both characters are able to use that possession. Transferring a card is not considered playing it, so effects triggered upon playing the possession in question do not occur. You may not voluntarily discard such borne by your character.

Minions may not normally transfer artifacts or possessions. Some Minions have Special Abilites that create an exception to this rule and even allow a Minion to move cards borne by companions. Whenever a Minion transfers a possession, artifact or condition, there is NEVER a twilight cost of twilght tokens being put in or taken out of the twilght pool. If you used a Minion's Special Ability to move a 3-cost possession from one Minion to another, you would not need to remove 3 twilight tokens from the twilight pool. Were that same minion to move a 2-cost possession from one companion to another, 2 twilight tokens would NOT be added to the twilight pool.
