Launch Week Contest Winners

Launch Week included two contests for collectors, as well as a number of large tournaments, including seven Draft Qualifiers leading to a King Draft Final on Saturday, the first time King Draft has been available anywhere! Here are the results of all these events.

Most Rares:

Lockescythe, with 15 copies of Arwen's Fate

Lockescythe wins a draft set (a draft pack and the three required boosters) from each block.

Though there were no prizes for the runners-up in this contest, the two players with the next largest number of a single rare were:

gondor_assassin, with 13 copies of Greed
blackjack21, with 12 copies of The Weight of a Legacy

Tournaments

Six Draft Qualifiers were held throughout the Launch Week, leading up to a Draft Final at the end of the week. The Final was the first King Draft tournament played anywhere! The qualifiers from the preliminary events were:

Draft Final: King

The final was held on Saturday February 7, with all the qualifiers competing in a first round, and the top two finishers in these tournaments proceeding to a final round. The finalists in their finishing order were:

Two large special-format tournaments were also held, one in the Highlander format, in which players may only have one of any particular card in their deck instead of the usual four, and the Culture Shock format, in which players must only have one culture for each of their Free Peoples and Shadow sides, Frodo and The One Ring excepted.
