Cracking packs and trading! Next to actually playing the game, these are my two favorite activities associated with The Lord of the Rings Online Trading Card Game -- opening new packs of cards and tracking down those last two copies of whatever card I need to complete my latest deck-building masterpiece (OK, OK, they're not -all- masterpieces). This week's screenshot spoiler focuses on these two aspects of the game.
The basic Live Trade UI is a miniaturized (or full-sized, depending on your screen resolution) version of a collection binder with space for containers to place those hot trades in. You'll pair up with someone online, agree to enter a trade session, and off you go to the Live Trade UI. Each of you can browse one another's trade binders, dragging and dropping cards, packs, decks and event passes into and out of either of the Trade Windows, until you haggle your way to something that works for both of you. Accept the trade (then go through a confirmation) process and the trade is underway. The server will process the transaction within a few moments, and voila, Grishnakh is all yours!
The Live Trade UI
Another Trading option that we're planning to support is an Offline Trading Post. In the Trading Post, you can post the haves/wants of a trade transaction you'd like in a browse-able and search-able part of the game UI and leave it for someone to come along and fulfill, whether you're around or not.
The Collection Binder
The cover of the Collection Binder is another part of the game where you'll have the opportunity to do some customization. Tournament prizes and tokens will appear here, along with your current avatar and information about your online rating. This is also where your decks, packs and event passes are stored, and one of the places in the game environment where you can crack those decks and packs and see what you got.
